We know that circuit breakers can be used to distribute electrical energy, infrequently start asynchronous motors, protect power lines and motors, etc., and automatically cut off the circuit when they are seriously overloaded or short-circuited and under-voltage faults, whose function is equivalent to the combination of fuse-type switches and over-under thermal relays, etc. This is attributed to the circuit breaker lockout, to achieve the lockout function of the circuit breaker accessories include: handle latching devices, mechanical interlocking devices, and electrical interlocking devices.
Here is the content list:
l Handle latching device
l Mechanical interlocking device
l Electrical interlocking device
The handle latching device is a protective device that enables the circuit breaker operating handle to be in the open or closed position (i.e., break or close locked), without mechanically affecting the free release of the circuit breaker. When the circuit breaker load side circuit needs to be repaired or not allowed to energize, the handle locking device can be used to lock the circuit breaker in the open state to prevent the breaker from being closed by mistake, thus ensuring the safety of maintenance personnel or the use of electrical equipment. Similarly, when the circuit breaker is closed to energize, the use of lockout can also prevent non-operators from accidentally disconnecting the circuit breaker, which can cause power outages. The principle of plug lockout is similar.
The mechanical interlocking device is also a protection device, mainly used for dual power supply circuits in the two low-voltage circuit breakers that cannot be simultaneously energized occasions. When the A low-voltage circuit breaker and B low-voltage circuit breaker mechanical interlock, if the A low-voltage circuit breaker closed state needs to B low-voltage circuit breaker to send power, then the A low-voltage circuit breaker must first be separated and then can make B low-voltage circuit breaker closed to send power. Thus, avoiding the dual power circuit due to misoperation of the wrong phase short-circuit fault. The principle of push button lockout is similar.
Electrical interlocking means that in the main supply line and the backup supply line, the two feeders ensure that only one can be closed to supply power, the other standby. The purpose is to ensure the stability of the power supply line so that when one circuit fails, the other circuit can be put into use immediately, reducing the problem of long power outages caused by circuit failures. The two-in-one electrical interlocking device can realize the automatic switching and restoration of power supply, usually, if the A low-voltage circuit breaker is the common power low-voltage circuit breaker, the B low-voltage circuit breaker is the standby power low-voltage circuit breaker. When the A LV circuit breaker is switched off due to a fault, the B LV circuit breaker is automatically closed without manual operation to ensure a normal power supply to the load. In some important places where power failure is not allowed, electrical interlocking devices should be used. The principle of electrical lockout is similar.
The presence of these devices can ensure the normal use of circuit breaker lockout.
